2008/2009 Omega Solar Team

Omega Solar is a team of approximately 20 students from Durham College and UOIT. The team was founded in the early years of UOIT by an automotive engineering student. The team has since grown to include many students from Durham College. This combination of theoretical knowledge combined with practical skills is a unique advantage of the team and has allowed us to work much more efficiently.

While the team is completely student-run, the team is currently advised by professors from both UOIT and Durham College including Remon Pop-Iliev, NSERC-GMCL Senior Design Chair in Innovative Design Engineering and Professor Chris Daniel from the School of Applied Sciences, Apprenticeship, Skilled Trades, and Technology.
